Since 1975, Bräuer has stood for innovative livestock equipment, engineering expertise and tailor-made solutions for modern agriculture. What began as a small family business has grown into an internationally operating company and one of Europe's leading specialists in livestock equipment for cattle, pig and horse farming.

Since our foundation, we have continuously evolved. New production facilities, state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and numerous technical innovations have shaped our company's development.

Our Milestones

  • 1975The Beginning of a Success Story

    Bräuer is founded by Ing. Michael Bräuer in a former banana ripening warehouse. From the very beginning, innovation, customer focus and practical solutions define the company's philosophy.

  • 1976New Headquarters in Behamberg

    The company relocates to Behamberg, Austria, creating the foundation for future growth and expanding its production capacity.

    Sehr enge Zusammenarbeit mit einer führenden dänischen Firma im Lüftungs- und Fütterungsbereich.

    Errichtung eines neuen Bürogebäudes und einer Produktionshalle am Standort Behamberg.

  • 1980sInnovation as a Driving Force

    Development of proprietary livestock housing and ventilation systems as well as numerous technical innovations that significantly improve daily farm operations.

    Der Betrieb ist spezialisiert auf die automatische Rinder-, Schweine- und Hühnerfütterung inklusive Lüftungs- und Entmistungsanlagen.

  • 1992Expansion to the Czech Republic

    A new production facility is established in the Czech Republic, marking the beginning of Bräuer's international expansion and increasing manufacturing capacity.

  • 1990sExpanding the Product Portfolio

    From manufacturing individual livestock components, Bräuer evolves into a full-service supplier of livestock equipment, offering complete solutions for cattle, pig and horse farming.

    Herr Ing. Michael Bräuer lässt diese Anlagen patentieren, was unter anderem ein ausschlaggebender Punkt für den Erhalt wichtiger und großer Aufträge und den späteren Erfolg der Firma ist.

  • 2000Generation Change

    The second generation joins the company, combining the values of a family-owned business with modern technologies, international thinking and innovative ideas.

  • 2005Expansion into New Markets

    Bräuer expands its sales activities into Southern Germany and Hungary. The first successful projects quickly follow, marking an important milestone on the company's path to becoming a European supplier of complete livestock solutions.

  • 2007Expansion into Eastern Europe

    The company enters the Czech and Slovak markets. A dedicated sales office and spare parts warehouse is established at the Czech production site, enabling even faster customer support and service.

    Auf Anraten der Wirtschaftskammer wird in Tschechien ein Fabrikareal mit 30.000m² angekauft und eine Produktions- und Fertigungshalle mit Lager und Büroräumen errichtet. Das ist die Geburt der heute ebenfalls erfolgreichen Tochterfirma Alex Industries spol. s.r.o. in Kaplice.

  • 2009Entering the Ukrainian Market

    Following the successful completion of its first projects in Ukraine, Bräuer establishes its own local representative office to strengthen customer support and further expand its international presence.

  • 2017 / 2018 Award-Winning Innovation

    With the development of the Comfort Self-Locking Feed Barrier, Bräuer sets new standards in animal welfare. Featuring completely silent operation and maximum neck opening, the system receives the Silver Medal at EuroTier 2018 in recognition of its outstanding innovation.

    Errichtung einer hochmodern eingerichteten Metallbearbeitungshalle mit angeschlossenem Bürogebäude am Produktionsstandort Tschechien. Teure Maschinen wie z.B Schweißroboter, CNC Abkantpresse, Dornbiegemaschine und Flachbettlaser gehören zu dieser Zeit zur Betriebsausstattung.

  • 2023Modernising Production

    The production halls and welding workstations at the Czech manufacturing facility are completely modernised. The investment optimises production processes and significantly increases manufacturing efficiency.

  • 2024Innovation Meets High-Tech Manufacturing

    Bräuer introduces its self-cleaning drinking trough, an innovative solution for modern cattle farming. The product is awarded the prestigious AgrarTec Silver Award at Austro Agrar Tulln 2024.

    In the same year, a new state-of-the-art tube laser cutting machine is commissioned, expanding manufacturing capabilities, increasing precision and enabling even more customised solutions. Im selben Jahr nimmt Bräuer eine hochmoderne Rohrlaserschneidanlage in Betrieb. Die neue Fertigungstechnologie erweitert die Produktionsmöglichkeiten, steigert die Präzision und ermöglicht noch individuellere Kundenlösungen. Ing. Alexander Bräuer und Ing. Michael Bräuer jun. werden Geschäftsführer und die Tochter Edith Reichetzeder übernimmt die Verwaltung.
